Cookie Policy
Teman | Last updated: 15 May 2025
This page explains what cookies are, which ones the Teman website uses, and how you can control them. If you have questions, write to us at [email protected].
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your browser or device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work properly and to give website owners basic information about how visitors use their site.
Cookies do not give anyone access to your computer or device. Most cookies collect only anonymous technical information — they do not identify you personally unless you have signed in or provided your details.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, or use the preference panel on this page to manage your choices specifically for the Teman website.
Cookies We Use
Always active — cannot be switched off
These cookies are required for the website to function. They handle basic things like remembering your cookie consent choice and keeping your session intact. Without them, parts of the site will not work correctly.
Examples: cookieConsent preference, session identifiers
Optional — help us improve the site
Analytics cookies give us anonymous data about how visitors use the site — which pages are popular, how long people spend reading, and where they come from. We use this to make the site more useful. No personally identifying information is stored.
Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid)
Optional — relevant information elsewhere
Marketing cookies allow us to show relevant content to people who have visited the Teman site when they are browsing elsewhere. They are also used by platforms such as Google and Facebook for ad personalisation.
Examples: Google Ads, Meta Pixel
Optional — remember your choices
Preference cookies remember choices you have made — for example, your preferred language or region settings — so you do not have to set them again each time you visit.
Examples: language preference, region setting
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our site are set by third-party services we use to understand site usage and deliver relevant content. These include:
- Google Analytics — website traffic and usage statistics (anonymous data only).
- Google Ads — conversion tracking and remarketing when enabled.
- Meta (Facebook) — advertising pixel, used when marketing cookies are accepted.
These third parties have their own privacy policies which govern how they use cookie data. We do not have control over the cookies they set. Links to their policies are available on their respective websites.
How Long Cookies Last
Session cookies
Session cookies are temporary. They are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies
Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them manually. Typical durations on the Teman site:
- Cookie consent preference: 12 months
- Google Analytics: up to 24 months
- Marketing cookies: 30 to 90 days depending on the platform
- Preference cookies: up to 12 months

Effect of disabling cookies
Disabling optional cookies has no effect on the core functionality of the Teman website. You can still read all pages and submit the contact form. Disabling analytics cookies means we will have less information to improve the site. Disabling marketing cookies means you may see less relevant content if you encounter Teman advertising elsewhere.
Disabling essential cookies through your browser settings may prevent some basic site features from working correctly.
